Cut The Rope

Cut the Rope is a logic and skill puzzle game. The player agrees to house-sit a cute alien pet named Om Nom that lives in a cardboard box. Across three seasons, they must successfully feed him hard swirl candies, donuts or cupcakes, defeat enemies and traps, and upgrade his home to new types of boxes.

The game's seasons feature thousands of levels. The player can't unlock a new box within a season without completing all levels in the current one. Each box is made of a different material or explores a unique theme. 

Om Nom enjoys receiving his treats hanging at the ends of string ropes attached to push pins. He also likes when the player collects floating gold stars. 

The player uses their knowledge of physics to cut the ropes in correct ways that allow the treats to reach areas that contain stars and avoid traps or enemies that destroy or steal the treats, respectively. They make a final cut to deposit the food into Om Nom's open mouth.

Cut the Rope also tasks the player with collecting 21 pieces of artwork created by Om Nom. The pieces combine fantasy with realism by merging drawings with photos.

How To Play

If desired, select the hard candy on the home screen to transform it into a doughnut or cupcake. Review the positions of the treat, stars and any enemies or traps in a level scenario. Read handwritten tips or warnings on the walls of the box. Cut the string ropes to direct the movement of the treat to collect the stars and feed Om Nom. When necessary, perform other actions. Find all of the artwork.

Mouse: Click buttons, icons and bubbles. To slice a string, click and slide the mouse.
Mobile: Tap buttons, icons and bubbles. To cut a string rope, tap and slide the finger or stylus.
