Amazing Word Search

Amazing Word Search is a word puzzle game that simulates the classic Word Search puzzles found in newspapers and travel puzzle books. The player hones their language skills by searching for specific words on boards filled with mixed letters.

The game features two modes. With Standard mode, it shows the player the words they need to find on a vertical panel to the left of the board. With Hard, it removes all but one letter from each word so the player must find words based on their guesses.

In both modes, the player highlights each letter of a word with their cursor to make a selection. If they have difficulty finding a word, they can use a hint button marked with a golden star at the bottom of the panel. When they guess correctly, the word disappears from the panel.

Amazing Word Search helps the player visualize a word as they select letters by displaying each letter in sequence on a horizontal bar to the right of a timer at the top of the panel. Above this bar, they can track their progress at finding a specific number of target words and bonus words for the board and their score.

On the home screen, the player can monitor their best time, total time, number of boards solved, number of boards played, solve ratio, and number of found target and bonus words via a lower-left corner statistics bar chart button. They can also change the board theme by selecting a paint palette and paintbrush button in the lower-right area.

How To Play

To switch modes, use the gear button on the main screen or the three-line one on the board screen. If desired, change the theme. Review the words or hints on the left panel. Search for the words. Highlight each word starting with the first letter. If necessary, use the hint button. Find all words.

Controls

Mouse: Click buttons. To highlight the letters of a word, click and drag the mouse.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To highlight a word, tap and drag the finger or stylus.
