Bubblez

Bubblez! is a levels-style bubble shooter that mixes classic match-3 bubble-popping gameplay with several fun modern twists. Against a gradient purple lilac background, the player attempts to remove all the bubbles from each level and earn the highest score possible.

The modern twists begin with player-versus-player competitions. The game splits the screen so that the actions of the player's opponent are always displayed on the right side. The player must try to clear their field before the other online player while also attempting to beat their score. The second twist is that one or more new bubbles drop into gaps from the top of the field every time the player makes a successful hit that pops a chain of three or more adjacent identical bubbles with a color-matched projectile.

Bubblez! doesn't allow the player to compete in the next level until they've completely cleared all bubbles from their field. Even though the game distracts the player with essentially picture-in-picture competitive play, it also helps them. It only drops new bubbles with colors that they haven't cleared from the field entirely.

How To Play

Review the colors of the two stacked projectiles in the lower-center area and the lowest-hanging bubbles. Target two or more adjacent identical ones, or set up a future shot by shooting a projectile at a single matching one. Never monitor the other online player's actions. Instead, keep an eye on the bubble drops from the top of the field and the score in the lower-right area.

Controls

Mouse: Click buttons. To shoot one of the projectiles, slide the mouse to position the cursor above a targeted bubble, a gap between two bubbles, or a spot on a side wall, and then click the left button.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To shoot, slide the finger or stylus to position the cursor, and then tap.
